Now Mikey, you do know who still leads in points right?

Hey, hey Hockeytown! :D

Hmmmmm, twenty two games played = thirty-two points.
Check out how many games the Sens have in hand. They have played eighteen and have thirty points. Can't be too long now.

It's pretty sad when Steve Yzerman is whining about the state of the game and Detroit is "at the top of the standings." Geez, Yzerman is an Ottawa boy and there is even a hockey rink that has his name. http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=143654&hubname=nhl

And yet, they were still in the lead as of yesterday when the post was made.

If there is a player in the NHL today that has earned a right to whine about "The state of the game", it is Stevie. The guy is a class act. There can be little doubt of that for anyone who really knows hims.

Chip, that was freaky last nite. I heard on the radio this am that Jiri is okay though. Very good news considering what it looked like last nite.

That is good news. Since they don't broadcast games here I just caught it on sportsdesk. Yzerman and Draper yanking the stretcher from the paramedics and hauling it over to the bench, Shanahan and Lang escorting his wife over...even when not playing hockey these guys are well-oiled teammates! Way to go vets. Hopefully Fischer can continue to play hockey soon - but this may be a problem later in the future.

He is lucky to be alive. CPR doesn't work that often unfortunately.

OK, now check NHL.com for the latest standings.

Sens also have the most goals for and fewest goals against. Only Nashville has played fewer games.

Earned the right - I'll give you that, but the overwhelming opinion across the league is that the game has improved.

Oops, been away from the computer for a week...just wondering where you were Tedtim? All that talk? Couldn't let you get away with it...

Seems the Canucks beat your Sens :) HA HA HA HA HA :):):)

....and worse yet Spezza is injured!!!! (I have him in my pool so that doesn't make me happy...)

crappy....this will definitely affect his chances on being part of the olympic roster.

edit: actually, maybe not. There's only 3 games left for ottawa till the roster has to be announced. Pittsburgh (Crosby) has 2 games left.

edit edit: actually, not at all. He's +20, 43 pts., 27 games vs. crosby -11, 31 pts., 31 games / staal +2, 42 pts, 30 games

Yep, they did. Still, the Sens went on a road trip of four games and came back with six of eight points. Still looks like they are on top, with games in hand.

The biggest complaint that I have about the NHL is that we don't get to see a number of the teams. They should make it so that teams play at least each other once at home and once on the road each season.

Hey, I am in LA on vacation right now. There is a lack of NHL reporting here, but I heard that the Sens handed the Maple Lafs a big can of whooop a@# last night.

So, where are the Canuck in the overall standings????????????????
