ok, after back tracking through the entire post/threads I'M SORRY TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE DIVE PROFILE!!!

I don't really need to update mine at all--no big deal. I understand the computer upgrade thing. It will be ready when it's ready, by the end or beginning (or middle) of WHATEVER month!!! ;-)

Hehe, k4man. It may be my imagination, but isn't there a Thread Reading Specialty c-card that you've just earned? :D

Tell you what. I'll go out of town diving this weekend to see if my not being around to use it is enough to get the thing working. (People tell me these things have nothing to do with me, but that would simply be uncanny.)

On the other hand, I found out tonight that we'll be done with the Rescue class in time for the September 22-24 checkout trip, so if it somehow takes just 18 more days, I'll be able to add Advanced, Master, Rescue, and DAN O2 all in one go, which would remove an entire query (or two, perhaps) from the database utilization. We all have to do our part, eh? :D

LOL!!!! I have this on the top of my screen:

Hey there mamashark, did you know you don't have a dive profile yet?

Why not tell the board a little bit about your diving experience and background by entering your dive profile… With a dive profile, other members know what sort of experience you have and what kind of diving you like to do. This helps everyone to know who they're talking to and where you're coming from. Dive profiles don't have to say a lot and you aren't required to give any personal information so why not spend a few seconds and enter some of your information now?!

I think so. And reading the entire thread took more time than some of the specialty courses!!:11doh: (and, sorry list-mates, wasn't as interesting as ACTUALLY DIVING):eyebrow:

I think you are a great poet! You have put all our frustrations in perspective!

Oh, no! I can't see newly composed rhyme and verse (and quite well done, too) without falling into the trap. The only way out is to quickly compose a few (very primitive) bits myself (otherwise all my documentation tomorrow will end up in Iambic pentameter... and you don't want to know what that did to my productivity last time).

Okay, let's see here... haiku:
Dive info pages
Yet unchanging on the site
Patiently we wait
...and then there's limerick:
Misunderstood by the masses
Am I for all my other classes
Except open water
Aren't known, though they oughta
Be updated soon's the page passes
Hey, it's late and I can't think straight... but that can't stop me from... the hideously-composed sonnet:
Dive info page, the white, white space
Once filled with wondrous open fields
To fill with all things in their place
As ignorance to knowledge yields
Many days and months have passed
And yet the page sits silent still
For good things come not very fast
Though faith we have that e'er they will
So on this surface interval
We type up things in rhyme and verse
Until the database is full
Of words (and nary one a curse)
We know the page will come back soon
Oh, maybe by next tidal moon?
And with that, I will bid you goodnight. :D
