I'm a Tool and Die Maker/Machinist that is planing on fabricating my own canister light. I'm going to make the battery canister and head out of aluminum. I've researched the light head and battery that I would like to use, but I little about electronics, so I'm not sure if they are compatible or if I need something to make them work properly.
Here are their specs:
light : 53mm 5*CREE Q3 1-Mode 6.5V~26V 1200LM Lamp Cap
battery : 12V ( working ) 14.5V ( peak), 4500mAh NiMH battery pack,
4.2 Amp discharge rate limited by polyswitch
P.S. I'm planing on posting pictures and maybe some prints of the other DIY projects for diving I've made (reel, backplate/single cylinder adapter, aluminum camera housing, video light, pressure gauge cover)
