After a week in Cozumel with friends the wife and I will be staying in Cancun for a 2/3 days. I know the experience will much differ from Cozumel, but we'd still like to check it out. I'll probably just be a 1 time 2-tank dive. I've seen some places do a 2-tank dive @ MUSA and then head over to a reef.

There tons of recommendations for Cozumel dive ops, but can anyone recommend one in Cancun?
What are the 2 must see places; should we do MUSA and a reef or head else where?

Any other info on Cancun is welcomed.

Thanks!

Hi there!

We’ve heard really good things about Mayan Aqua Dive in Cancun. You can also look at our listings for dive operators in Cancun. On this webpage you can compare diver reviews of the shops as well as prices: https://diviac.travel/s/cancun/dive-centers/.

In terms of dive sites outside of MUSA, both Cuevas de Afuera and Punta Negra offer interesting marine life encounters and pleasant environments. Depending on when you are going to be in Cancun, you might also be interested in diving with the whale sharks near Isla Mujeres.

If you’d like any more information, don’t hesitate to ask! Have a great trip!
