I am in the process of streamlining my sidemount setup and have friends who have switched the side which a hose connects to the 2nd stage. His reg was not a scubapro, but I am trying to do just that to a G250V. In other words, instead of the "dial a breath" being on the left side when the reg is in your mouth, and the hose coming out of the right, it would be the opposite.

You want the hose coming in from the left side of the second stage?

I'm not positive, but I think mine are designed to only go together one way to prevent an assembly error when they are serviced.

According to Scubapro's website, of their current second stages, only the R295 and R395 are left/right changeable.

What they said. Frankly I would not downgrade from a G250 to a Rxxx - I use a regular short hose on the left tank with an elbow adapter, and a traditional long hose setup on a 48" hose on the right tank. Works well. (5' hose was too long, but if you have one you can tuck the excess under a hose retainer I guess.)

No, the hose side on the G250V is not changeable. I own two...and there's no way that can happen. The only regs from SP you can change the hose side on are the R295 and the R395.

Hope that helps,

It's a square peg in a round hole issue. The air inlet side of the case is square to prevent rotation of the air barrel and the adjustment knob side is round.

As indicated above the R295/R395 as well as the R190 can be switched but its a serious downgrade from a G250V.
