I am finishing up my divemaster certification and will be running boat dives on local lakes soon. I will be purchasing several more aluminum tanks, and a few more steels for client use and I am wanting to have a logo put on them with the name of my operation and a small simple picture. I was wondering who can do this without messing anything up, I have seen lots of tanks in dive shops with logos on them before, but noone has been able to help me. Info would be very much appreciated.

The ones I have seen are not decals, they almost look like silk screen and they seem to last longer than decals, however I guess I could try decals if I can't find anything else. Thanks

Some dive shops order tanks in quantities in order to get the shop logo painted/air brushed on the tank when they are painted by the manufacturer. Decals will just get scratched up and worn. I'm not sure what the minimum orders are but you might contact the manifacturers you are interested in to find out.

If these tanks are going to see lots of wear, I'd highly recommend just a brushed aluminum finish on the alum. tanks and plain galvanize finish on the steels. They'll stay clean, be easier to maintain, and you don't have to worry about corrosion under the paint.

Large diver you beat me to it.

I do a little work for the Navy and ever heard of anodized aluminum. It is a process where you photo engrave the logo onto the aluminum. This process is real permament. You wont have a lot of color choices. black on red - black on Natural - natural on black - Yellow on black - black on Yellow. We get this done at a graphic shop. Check with them and see what they can do for you.
The other option is to have silk screening done at the same place.
Set-up fees are steep so be prepared.
