can a wetsuit be too warm?

I guess remember that water is an excellent conductor of heat and that we're naturally around 96-97 degrees as humans, so anything less body temp water is going to draw heat from your core.

If a 7mm makes you happy...it make you happy. If a 5mm does...then so be it.

I've found that keeping your core, and head, warm is more important.

I've been fine diving in a 5mm full suit with a hooded vest with 5mm in chest and 7mm on head fine for 48 degree water...two dives for 40ish minutes a piece.
