Hi we will be diving mostly shallow. Will we need 3 mill shorty or just rash guard? Trying to pack light .Thanks for looking Jay :cool2:

If I was just doing ocean dives, I'd take a 3mm suit. If the trip included single tank cenote dives, I'd add a hooded vest.

It depends on how you handle the cool. My dive buddy 70 year old lady, very slender, dives a 3mm shorty and is a little cool after a 50 min dive. I am a man ,72 and portly and dive rash guard and am plenty warm. So.. If you can handle a 50 minute pool session at 80 degrees F, A rash guard will work, otherwise get a 3mm.

Good advice on cenotes, they seem cold to me.

Enjoy your trip. We will be there in October.
