Anybody going to be there and want to buddy up? I was thinking of booking 3 days diving with Underwater Diversions.

Greg.

We're there from 12th through the 19th, with Manta Divers. We won't be diving the last two days, though. Sorry!

Underwater Diversions is a good OP, hope your window doesn't have a Hurricane, looks like they're going to get hit in the next couple of days.

I really don't want to hear that.:(

Yeah, we took the hurricane gamble - it was either the keys or cabo. Just 2 hours from LA, so we decided Cabo.

Probably a stupid question, but do hurricanes actually hit near Cabo or do they just affect the water conditions?

In Hereford, Hartford, Hampshire, and Hcabo, Hurricanes Hardly Happen.

There are seasonal winds (chubascos) which will hit Baja. These chubascos are caused by nearby tropical storms, depressions, or Pacific-side hurricanes.

That will cause surge & other nasty stuff, which will keep the locals from going out.

Annual rainfall in the Los Cabos is in the range of 8-10". That said, a hurricane may hit Los Cabos every few years.

Good luck. Wish we were going!

Here's the current tracking map for John. It's just been upgraded to a Cat 1 hurricane and projected to be Cat 3 by tomorrow night. Path is trending a little West of Baja Sur, but Cabo is still in probability cone.
