I used to be real down on the bag drag. However, having traveled to Cancun for a whale shark trip I think I may have been overly concerned. Parking in Miami for a week might be a hurdle.

Plus 282 miles each way. Aeromexico and Delta both have non-stop MIA-CUN flights for less than $300 RT some dates in March, but hardly worth the drives. SWA has non-stop service FLL-CUN for $210 (more taxes & fees than the airline gets), but who wants to drive over 500 miles RT to save less $100-150 each. Maybe if you had a carload of family to pay for, but not for two.
