In my opinion, they don't really compare. The sunlight looks like the batteries are dying next to the LED. I have them both and in hind sight, I wouldn't have wasted the $$$ on the sunlight.

Keep in mind though that I use them purely for lighting up crawl spaces and other dark places where lobster like to hide. Others may not like the "aquarium effect" that the led has. I would also imagine that it would probably screw up photos but I'm no expert.
