Hi everyone

I'm a PADI Advanced Diver with 200+ logged dives in Brazil. I'm considering starting a tec diving training at the beginning of 2013 and then a cave course on my subsequent holidays.

Tec/cave equipments are really expensive in Brazil, so I'd like to buy part of them on my next trip to the states in november. I wish I could choose a nice transpack / wings which I could adapt to use both with double tanks and sidemount. Is it possible?

Any Dive Rite advice?

Thank you

You will be doing cave and tech training with a specific instructor, so you should first decide on which agency and instructor you will be doing your course with, and then contact that instructor for instructions.

Your best bet is to take a sample course intro dive with the instructor you are interested in. Make sure they can provide gear rental as lots of tech instructors list owning full gear as a prerequisite before doing a course. I would suggest you dive with several different agency affiliated instructors before commiting to a course. It is cheaper than buying thousands of dollars worth of gear only to decide 50 dives later that you want more serious training and have to buy all new gear.
