So if someone who's gotten used to the BP/W setup for some reason has to use a jacket again, he'll be diving like the guy in the video? Isn't bouyancy control more dependent on breathing and finning techniques, balance, and experience rather than what BCD you wear? If your bouyancy control already comes naturally, shouldn't you be able to dive well with any type of bcd?

I so agree with you . . . :) I use a jacket BC and I can do any positions underwater without any problems. . . breathing and air consumption is no problem too . . . you can turn me upside down or whatever . . . it's your body's flexibility . . what's important is you've got the skills. But if you have the money . . go get it cowboy. ;)

hahaha thanks for the responses...havent watched into the blue yet, i heard jessica albas hot hehehe... yeah i plan to try different setups first and rack the dives, i was just reading around and figured bp/w would better suit me... my only problem really is the crotch strap, i dont find that in most jacket bcs to keep it in place.
hey mayastig, it's awesome that you're getting informed before making your purchases. I've seen your posts in the other threads. This board is great! (di ba?)

and don't mind my dry sense of humor. I'm really a jack@ss a lot of the times. :)

hey chip, yeah i am enjoying the boards...geez everyone here if a freaking guru to me. yeah ive been reading a lot of posts on the gear and all, its expensive so i believe in knowing what you really need then buying it, better to purchase the right things first. i dont mind the humor, im a jack@ss at times too hahaha :)

Maybe expensive but if you take care of it, it could last you a lifetime. Unless you're an equipment junkie :D .

hehehe, trust me pare, just another week of reading SB and you'll know as much as us on non-diving stuff! The really gurus are the ones who have racked up the dives.

If you're looking at a BP/Ws, take a look at the deep sea supply wings. Those wings are really innovative. I'd also back up Jag to have a chat with twomixdiver - he'll help you out with the wings.

im gona try and get hold of a bp/w configuration and try it out first to see how it feels. my dms have halcyon since they carry them in, so ill try to borrow that. but yeah, im still thinking the smartest thing to do is to try all the bcs i can get my hands on, jacket or otherwise.

are you from bacolod? you said your DMs (plural), I haven't seen so many people wearing Halcyon's in one place than bacolod.
