I just purchased a new Blue Steel Manifold/valves to double up my old PST LP72's. I requested LP burst disk for the valves. When it arived it had HP disk in the valves and they sent me two LP disk with it. I now need to replace the disk with th LP ones sent. What do I need to do to remove the HP disk and replace with the LP ones.

I know this is "Life support equipment" and some will say I should have my LDS do this, but I would like to do it myself to become more farmiliar with the inter working of my gear.

Thanks

Ya need a wrench or preferably one with a socket. Removing them is not any big deal nor is replacing them except for on piece of information. What are the torquing requirements? Burst disks should be torqued appropriately.

Is it as simple as removing the bolt and taking out the old disk with a pick, then pushing the new disk into place, replace with new bolt and torquing to the required force?

pretty much yeah, just make sure you have a torque wrench otherwise you could be in for a nice surprise when filling. :-D
I just use one piece plugs. Bit more expensive, but they're easier and less fussy.
Torque is usually 50-60in/lbs do this quickly so you don't break the plastic seats

I appears that it is a one piece with the plastic piece holding the disk to the bolt, does the plasic piece go into the valve or is it removed before inserting?
