And I know your shop options are limited but...REE on the LP 72 is 58.4. If they can't do a + rating..and WON'T stamp a + rating if the tank meets the standard...imo your shop is A: Lazy...B: Uneducated and /or misinformed...or C: Dangerous.
I suspect a combination of all 3 above.

Do yourself a favor. Find a new shop/hydro facility even if it means shipping tanks.

just to be clear....our local shop does not do the actual hydro testing. they use another facility. i was told they can also be sent away. i am going to inquire further about how this all works just so i have all the facts straight. should know tomorrow.
