If you look at a hardware store you also may find what your looking for, places like Home Depot and Lowes typically do not have te small stuff but the mom and pop stores if they still exist have had it when I went. Also, what has worked for me (I have five women in my house) are the bundgee style hair bands not the fancy frilly things, not sure if this is DIR (am just finding more about it and hoping to reconfigure my gear) but have stole two from my daughters to secure my dangling lights to keep them in check till needed.

And they come in handy if your kids are getting on your nerves they make awsome rubber band gun ammo with out the high level of pain:crafty:

I'll get some of the 1/8th and see if I can squeeze it through the watch strap pin holes. I can get the drill out if need be.

Thanks for the suggestions

Did you try it yet? I've been contemplating using a drill on my computer too, but to be honest I'm scared :D

I have been away hiking the JMT for the last three weeks so haven't bought the cord or drilled any holes yet. Will get back on this shortly.

Finally and at long last I bungied my Scubapro FS2 Compass.

In October while on a trip to Sipadan Water Village, my Luna's strap tore in half. Luckily I was on the dive boat and was able to to "repair" it with 6 or 8 zip-ties. It's time to either buy a new strap or get the drill out.

:dontknow:

I'll add that trip to my bucket list. Looks like a nice resort.
