I completed in Jamaica, 06 Jan, surely they wouldn't send it there when I clearly gave a home address in London!?
PICs are processed at the regional office based, more or less, on where the instructor is. An instructor based in Jamaica will have all of their PICs issued from the PADI HQ in California, USA. The PADI office then mails the card to the student, instructor, or dive center as instructed on the PIC.

There are two ways to process a PIC - the old fashioned paper method, and PIC online. Some dive shops can now process PICs entirely over the internet, which saves a lot of time by elminating international postal delays in sending the paperwork to the regional PADI office. If your certification was processed by filling out a blue card, then you must allow for time to post that from Jamaica to the USA, plus processing time at PADI, plus postal time from the USA to the UK.

For reference, airmail to the USA from Grand Cayman commonly takes two to three weeks to be delivered.

If you can find your information on the PADI Dive Chek system, then PADI has received your information. Give it a little while yet. Your card is probably in the mail.

Finally, if the instructor handed you the blue card you must mail it in! It sounds obvious, but I see about one guest each month who still has the blue PIC envelope tucked in his/her logbook.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

So if I turn off your tank does that count as taking your breath away? :54:

That depends. Can you turn my tank off in a moment? Also, I'll still get a breath or two after that, so maybe not.

And what's all this ragging on me about my sig line? Methinks you need to go diving more--you've got too much time on your hands. :cheeky:

darn right, WileEDiver... way to tell them off...

oh... wait...

Yeah, Andy, you've got too much time on your tenticles, too. :octopus:

let's please leave my tenticles out of this

Thanks folks,

Bristol said email membersvcs@padi.com so I have tried that.

If they haven't got back to me by Monday I'll take you up on your offer gedunk

Cheers,

K.

I've found that PADI Canada generally takes about 6 weeks to process, though I've gotten some as quick as 2 weeks and some as slow as 10 weeks. So at 9 weeks, it is on the long side, but I wouldn't be surprised if it comes in the next week or so.
