I'll be heading to Bonaire next weekend and have a quick question about towels. On the two dive trips I've been on, I've had to bring my own towels for at least the beach/boat. I just looked at Buddy Dive's website, and it says "We have daily housekeeping service for you and offer free use of beach towels." Does that apply only for use at the resort itself or also on the boats and tossing in the truck for shore diving? I'm not sure yet if what I've experienced so far with bring-your-own-towels is the exception or the norm at resorts and on liveaboards. Thanks

Went back in June and the room has towels in it. There are also beach towels available at the front desk. We used the beach towels on our road trips and also on the boats. No one said any different. :dontknow: Buddy Dive is a great place and you should have a great time there.

When you check in you will sign for and receive an oversized beach towel along with the lock for the room safe, keys and truck. Use towel in the truck or boat. Return it to the front desk for a clean one as required. The room towels are much smaller sized and are changed out by the lovely ladies of housekeeping. For boat dives, especially a two tank, I throw a bottle of ice water (or 2) and a towel in a dry bag to bring along. The boat does have a water cooler w/ the little paper cup cones, but I tend to sip a lotta water, especially in the heat. Don't get dehydrated. Keep a couple bottles ready to go - half fill, place/lean on an angle in freezer (you are looking to create larger surface area), leave the cap off. Freeze. Fill the rest as you head out the door - ice water. Also works well topped with gatorade - too sweet for me to drink straight, the ice portion dilutes it nicely and keeps your electrolytes happy! ...Wish I was goin...but still need to write a trip report and edit my pics from March/April.
