I've heard of this guy several times but only today thought to check "youtube" for a performance. All I can say is WOW. No theatrics, no vocals; just a guy (I assume he's a guy) and a guitar (and drums).

Buckethead is an excellent guitar technician who sometimes plays with Primus. The combination of buckethead and les claypool is pretty astounding.

The KFC bucket and Kabuki makeup is pretty theatrical.

That might be but even non-challenging music can be royally muffed by a putz. I've read that he is quite proficient at more challenging riffs. Has even auditioned for John "Ozzy" Osbourne.

I watched some of the other clips on the site. There is some good playing in there, he is definitely proficient at more challanging stuff.

Buckethead Rules. I've been a fan for about 15 years (I think...). He's a veritable deity in Japan too (toys, comics, cult-following, etc.).
