browser problems

Totally off topic bu I can't resist. It's funny the things that get people arguing on this board. I work for state government and I use Firefox. SOme other agencies use IE. It all gets the job done and most of the time it's personal preference or IT standards.
What I'm really curious about is whether there's a correlation between DIR divers/non DIR divers and IE/Firefox users.

Obviously, I'm joking, but it's the first thing that came to mind and you all get to share in my thought now

I don't think there's a correlation. I'm non-DIR/Firefox, myself. Is that like hanging an AIR2 on a Halcyon rig?

Are you some kind of a net-stroke? Firefox is NOT DIR.

Just had the problem a few minutes ago. SB doesn't exist. I waited until tonight to load the updates, but have had intermittent access over the past few days.

I spend over 2 hours without being able to get onto the board. I think it's just the sick server. I'll just try to survive without my daily allotment of SB.

This thread has taken on a different course than the original stated problem so I'll restate it: IE6 combined with Win2K began causing browser shutdowns after the latest MS security updates where installed. This is NOT the same problem as Scubaboard being unavailable, the "page not displayed/site not found error". There's another thread for those folks to post in but I think Pete has explained why that's most likely happening in clear terms.

The original reported problem causes any/all of your IE windows to close.

If you want to debate what browser is DIR or tell anyone that's not using something other Firefox they aren't "with it", that's fine but that's not what this section of the board is for.
