I have done this fix in the past, and there was doubt in the the back of my mind [you know that feeling?] Is it fixed, will it fail again etc.
An excuse to buy a new one and the old one not used ever again.

True...but like all gear we use, it should be inspected and tested regularly. I learned to dive without a BC so I don't consider a failure of that device serious for most of my diving.

The repair I outlined here BC bladder repair update. lasted for years. In fact I sold it (wanted a wing) and as far as I know the new owner put another few years on it.

I do have a Halcyon wing I did a similar repair on, but the bladder material itself has a few pin holes in it around the repair. I'd dive it as the leaks are insignificant-but not something I could sell to anyone without them having a clear understanding of the issue.
 
Same thing happened to me, I attempted to fix with DGX components mentioned above and was not comfortable with the repair. So I bought a bp/w and have not looked back.
