hi rtb

I am not trying to start a business or sell anything. I prefer to earn a living in the states, where I am familiar with how things work. I just have a rv and thought roatan might be a good place to park it for a while. I also changed my online name to lionfish-eater after having my first taste last week. They were very tasty and I feel good about eating them, as compared to other unsustainable seafood. If I could work on roatan it would be to educate about how to harvest and prepare lionfish, Maybe I could apply to the Roatan Marine Park for a grant to develop educational material for fisherman, dive masters and restaurants. Any idea who I could contact?

I don't think you could afford to work for the RMP :rofl3:

Seriously though- maybe drag a boat down there (from the island in the Mississippi):crafty:
and tie it up at FHYC. Way cheaper, easily doable, relatively free of government fiddling.

Okay, that explains the "to" portion, what about the "from" version... Flouro-Night-Glo ?

And I thot I over packed? Interesting idea, but hopeless I think - for ample reasons explained already. If you want a long term home that you can move around the island, renting a boat might work. Don't know what the availability there might be but got to be easier than ferrying a tank.

roatan man The flouro was related to some fun I have been having with florescent lights for night diving. I don't sell the equipment, but you can check it out at night-sea web site. It's like black light, but a different part of the spectrum. You also wear a yellow visor to block the blue light and see the florescent coral.

Now I get it. Sounded familiar. Someone calling himself "Grant" from that company in Massachusetts - a "research intern", contacted me and asked me a bunch of questions about the application.

I saw your trip report from Roatan last week- diving off of FI must have been great at night with your UV Blacklight. You have any such pictures on the web?

The very few that I have: UV Black Light of Corals pictures by Doc_Adelman - Photobucket

That being the case I wonder if i should change my name to Armadillo Eater, Or maybe not.

Is that how the Roatan Armadillo infestation ended?
