Completed yesterday and I too would love to see the results as well as know the objective of the survey.

Just completed the survey as well. Would love to see where this research is going.

Done.

So how many do you have now?

Once you close it, could you reveal the reason why you're conducting this?

Done, why this survey??.....Are you that afraid of sharks??

Done...

Done. It'll be interesting to see the results...particularly contrasting the divers versus non-divers.

i added my favorite Shark statistic....

What was the lead news story in the US before 8:46 am EST on 09-11-2001?

Shark attack epidemic. They supplanted our interest in Chandra Levy. After 9/11, the Sharks just gave up and went home.

Yes I was aware of that, it is a good statistic. My favourite however is that during the 1916 New Jersey Shore/Matawan Creek attacks, World War 1, to be specific the battle of the somme which began on the same day as the first attck (on Charles Bruder) was displaced from the front pages of the main American newspapers. The only time during the two great wars that the war wasn't front page news.

Just as a suggestion..... there are some fairly large shark and scuba groups on Facebook. If you are a member why not contact the groups administrators and ask them to post or mail their members..... If you are not a FBer - its easy to join ....

Completed the survery myself - it would be nice to get some results at the end !

I have put it out on facebook. I did think about the shark groups but I want to avoid any bias. The diving groups is a great suggestion though!

Done.

It would be more ideal if there is a part that put in reason about the reason someone puchase/eat shark products.

And also reason if one decide to still enter the water when shark is known to present, maybe an option of Depends, and explain.

Overall, I think it's good survey and can see where it is going.

Thanks.

I agree that would be extremely interesting although I am hoping to limit my results to actions and statistics. When you include feelings, motivation etc, it becomes a lot more difficult to establish true results I think

I now have 132 divers, 135 none divers. Before I asked you guys I only had 31 divers! You guys are awesome :)

I will definitley make sure to tell you all why I am doing this my my funding is secure. I have a superb idea which I have been advised to keep under wraps to make sure nobody steals it before I get the chance!

Done, why this survey??.....Are you that afraid of sharks??

Quite the opposite. I have loved sharks for over 25 years. I am a member of the Shark Trust and European Shark Research Bureau specialising in Shark Attack and Shark Behaviour. I am also an amateur underwater videographer and have dived with many different shark species, in fact I am never more relaxed than with sharks. I would be more than happy to answer any shark related questions anybody on here has at any time :)

Absolutely. I have had a look through and to say I have been surprised at some of my findings so far would be an understatement! I will absolutely make sure to let you guys know when it is complete and I really can't thank you all enough! :)
