Yes, I too was on that infamous Bonaire trip of Natasha's and it was wonderful, my best dive vacation to date!

A bit o'advice from some local Bonairians with regards to the car/truck thing....yes, cars are known to be broken into when they are locked and goodies are left out on the seats, but I heard straight from the mouth of local (young) residents that they will not bother a vehicle that has the doors unlocked and windows down. If you make it not look so much like a rental, chances are you will be fine....

Definitely do a bunch of night dives too-- we saw the best fish action (eels mating and fish eating fish!) at night..

In trying to plan a trip, I'm getting sold on Bonaire reading about it! When in Sept. are you going back? We were thinking of Sept. 1-8. There would be 4 adults and one child. I still have checking to do about taking our daughter and how she can be occupied while we dive. Anyway, if you'll be there early Sept., let me know.

Glad you're thinking of Bonaire. You'll love it!
The September group didn't get big enough to need and escort. Either myself or Mario were going to go.It was blocked for Sept. 15th.
The next group that is already big enough is to Tortola in Feburary. I have a few rooms left out of 15 rooms. Interested in that trip?
I saw that DOCV gave you some great info for places that will help with your 7 year old.

How much is a typical boat dive? Are two tanks included or just one?

Hey Buff,
Have a great time in July. Where are you staying?
At the Plaza Resort, where we stayed, all the tanks for the shore diving were free.They have filled tanks on the beach for divers to use 24 hours a day.
We bought a pre paid dive package before we went. To add more boat dives to it, they only charged us $15.00 a dive.
I believe it's 25 to 35 a tank if you don't have a package.
At certain times the boats went out for two tank dives, and other dives were sloted for one tank.
