My question is in regard to the top of the webbing. When it comes out of my plate it naturally wants to criss cross. I've seen a few people letting it cross over and I've see it worn like a backpack. (pulled apart and not crossing) I'm just wondering how you wear yours and if it matters either way. Hoping this makes sense....if not I can take a couple photos tonight and post them tomorrow.

Thanks for any info on this.

Gday.

Gday.

I wear mine like a "backpack" (shoulder straps not crossed), and find it very comfortable.

Some folks find that crossing the straps is more confortable / fits better.

It really is matter of personal preference and what proves to be the most comfortable for you.

Best wishes.

I've heard that smaller framed people sometimes find the crossed straps to be more comfy. This might result in your plate being a bit lower than you would like, however.

If the regular way isn't working, then experiment some.

Tried both, prefer uncrossed.

Is it possible to cross them without quick releases on each side and still get in and out of the harness easily? This I have not seen yet.

Cause quick releases will most likely go against tech philosophy. :D

FWIW, I wear mine uncrossed.

Perhaps I should stop by and see what you're referring to as I can't picture it either.

Yes. It just made the edge of the harness rub against my neck too much for my liking, so I went back to a standard configuration.

From my recollection, instead of coming out over your shoulder and going to waist slot, the straps come out of the shoulder and cross to the opposite waist slot, causing the webbing to cross behind your neck.

Thanks, I have everything all set up for uncrossed. Will try it that way. One of the people helping me with my tech rig crosses theirs....didn't want to offend them with a set up differnt than they suggested....even though I thought I knew how I wanted to do it already.

Thanks again
Gday.

N2Deep....stop by and say hello.

I cross mine, because otherwise the straps fall off my shoulders. It is quite possible to get in and out of a harness easily with the straps crossed. But I don't think very many adult males need to cross them to avoid having them fall off . . .
