I'm looking to switch from Pro QD to a BP set-up. Right now I do mostly one tank dives, but could eventually get into two tank dives. I was just wondering what people thought about the set up that would be right for me. Any suggestions would be great.

A BP&W is a modular system.

To make a recommendation I need more info.

What exposure suit do you use, and how buoyant is it?

What tanks do you use?

What other gear do you carry?

How tall / heavy are you?

What do you currently use for a BC and Tanks and how much weight do you currently use.

Right now I live in Wisconsin so I usually dive a dry suit or a 7mm with a hood, but I'm hoping to move to Florida soon, so that would all change. Right now I just use a single aluminum tank, but will be interested in upgrading to steel eventually. Gear wise. Not alot a knife, a couple lights. I am around 6feet tall 180 pounds. Finally, I dive a Pro QD, and ususally use around 22 pounds with a 7mm and hood. Thanks for your help.

Diving in a 7 mm in WI, a diving in ?? In FL are two very different applications.

Your Exposure Suit has a great effect on the size of the required wing.

I'll take a stab at your current needs.

Medium SS Plate
30 lbs wing
Hogarthian Harness

That will also accomodate a steel tank.

In Florida you may beable to use a smaller wing, and maybe a lightweight plate depending on the tank you use, and the exposure suit.
