My long diving weekend did not get off to the best start yesterday. Due to conditions, none of the 5 operators went out of Boynton Harbor Marina and neither did JDC out of Jupiter

Luckily, today was much improved. I went out with UE this morning and had two great dives at Briney Breezes and Table Tops. Seas were only 2-3 feet and wind was moderate. The water temp is back up, 75 degrees on both dives. The visibility was respectable, probably about 40 feet.

Tomorrow is supposed to be another 2-3 footer, hoping for the best. Then, there's Monday

well, it was a little 'sporty' in Jupiter..... lots of wind driven waves that weren't overly organized. Viz was so-so at 40-50 feet. Lots of reef sharks, goliath grouper, turtles, green morays, fish fish fish. All the bugs were shorts or egg bearing: bummer. Despite the top side conditions, still was a fun dive trip.

Excellent dive on the Castor this morning. Many Goliath Grouper, bait fish being chased by Bar Jacks, huge school of Horse-Eye Jacks doing ballet. Mild north current, 74 degrees, 40-50 foot vis. Surface conditions were a little bigger than yesterday, 2-4 feet, modest wind. Sounds like surface conditions were a bit more forgiving than in Jupiter today. All in all, can't complain.

And now, the last day of my long weekend, hope I can get out tomorrow...

It's good to hear that conditions are improving! 40-50 ft vis makes for a decent dive.

Fabulous 3 tanker with Starfish today. Seas were up a bit, solid 3-5, few considerably bigger. Wind was up too, especially as the afternoon progressed. Water was a little cooler, 72-3 degrees, visibility was about the same as the weekend, 40-50 feet. Castor was nearly a replay of yesterday, GG, Bar Jacks chasing bait fish, wonderful school of Horse-Eye Jacks. Had a Reef Shark on descent onto Delray Ledges and then superb dive on both east and west sides. Last dive was on Sharkies Ledge and over to Briney Breezes with 3 or 4 nurse sharks, Green and Spotted Morays, several lobster, no turtle today.

After getting skunked last Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and today all came through with great dives. I love Boynton Beach.

Good diving, Craig
