Thanks for the response - pretty sure it's the boots then if not the fins - I seem to have had this problem in the past when trying my luck at ice skating or roller blading and had a size too small.
I don't know your age or health. Circulation to your feet is important.

:D

I know that leather that's been wet will shrink when drying.

So that's what happen to your Tony Lama's huh :D

I know they are comfortable, but Don you just got to switch over to neoprene when you dive :1poke:

we use rubber boots during MUD season

I wonder how many hits on this post there would have been if the title was something like "Tight Booties"... :P

or oooohhhhh, tight booties. I get toe cramps when my bootie gets shoved too far into the fin. I have to take my fin off and adjust it to make it stop.

I was thinking of my leather gloves. :D I had a fit when I saw a Asst DA in a famous trial yars ago asked the defendant to put on leather gloves that had become blood soaked in the crime. I was srceaming: "You ninny, they shrunk when they dried!"

And when I was active on the farm, I wore rubber "irrigation" boots as often as I wore leather boots. ;)

Today, I own as many pair of neaperne boots as in leather.

Life is too short to deal with cramped feet in too-small booties or shoes or whatever you have on your feet. Find whatever booties fit you well and buy them no matter what the price is. Then take care of them.

Right on. My $20 pair lasted over a hundred dives and still great shape. bought a $15 pair tho, as I liked them.

How about:

Nice Stinky Booties?

Well - for me - after last night - I believe it's the fins that were restricting my circulation to my feet - too small I guess. When standing so much in the pool while talking about stuff - the fin was pressing against the top of my foot which in theory - won't be happening while in the water. Regardless - I'll be trading them in for a larger size on Monday before my next class.:D
