............. I suggest that anybody who is considering Wannadive should find another dive operator that actually cares. This one doesn't.

:blinking: Sorry but this just does not sound like the WDB crew a lot of us know. Granted, this may have been a foul up on their part but there are always 2 sides of a story. As a general board "rule" first posts that trash a dive op are usually looked at with less sympathy than one from a long time poster. Not saying anything you said is not true but without "board cred" or some proof, the tie goes to the dive op. In contrast, there are bunches of stories of the WDB crew going way out of their way to help divers, including myself. Do you by any chance have the emails? It could be as simple as the misunderstanding that started this thread.

This morning (monday ofcourse :-) ) I received a very rude and threatening e-mail from Mr Cummings. It was the first time I had heard from anything going wrong. I I invite Mr Cummings to post his e-mails including the one to me. Even if we screwed up, that is not called for, and my first reaction was not to follow up at all. However curiosity kills the cat and so I went to ask my crew. It appears we did screw up. One of my crew members simply did not follow several of my instructions and Mr Cummings bumped his nose because of it. Disciplinary action has been taken immidiately. I would have apologized profusely, after all it sucks the large one, if one arrives and finds his arrangements even slightly messed up. Because of his approach however, I cannot, will not, and shall not apologize. Mr Cummings, I am happy you found our island such a great experience and my collegues at Dive Friends such wonderful people. I agree with you and invite you to stick with them for your next trip.

Bart, sorry every time your here it’s to deal with an issue. Sounds like a minor issue that got blown out of proportion.....which is usually the case with first time posters ranting about a dive op. As a long time visitor to Bonaire and having used WDB as my dive op on several occasions I know the quality of your operation, as do many on the board.

Looking at the title of the original post the question is asked "Is it just me?" The answer is simply yes - It's just you...

Whoa, did I hear "cruise dives" mentioned? Hey maybe this is the long lost mystery "missing cruise ship diver" that no one on Bonaire knew about...

Actually Bart I thought your post was pretty funny. Especially the disciplinary part. Did you make the employee dive with those funky wooden shoe fins you have up on the wall ? :eyebrow: Me, I'd be happy to dive w/ Wannadive anytime! Dang, like right now... // ww

Actually - he made the employee go directly to the hut and drink four Amstel Brights..... Could not pass go could not collect 200 pieces of sea-glass.

Ditto. Wannadive is a great operation with a great crew! I have used them twice with nothing but wonderful things to say. I much prefer them over BDA, which is the only other op I have to compare them to.

I would not hesitate to recommend Wannadive to anyone traveling to Bonaire.

IMO, a totally fair reaction.

We also used WD for our fill needs a few years back. Great operation.
