I found her. There was a clutch cargo that did some videos of a trip to nova scotia and there was a van in one of them with a business name and I called them and she answered. Privacy isn't all it's cracked up to be when it keeps people from connecting for good reasons. Glad they were transparent enough to be tracked down by a good team effort. Lots of google fu from different folks made this one come together but again, it might be a different lost ring. The suspense is still going to hang in there for a bit longer.

So she (the wife) said she lost her engagement ring in Bonaire back in 2003? Wow! Cool!

Hi all! This is the dummy who lost her ring in 2003. Thanks to all who helped in the sleuthing effort to track us down! That is pretty amazing! I hope it is the actual ring. You have no idea how grateful I am just for the effort! Anyway, it was a single stone diamond in a white gold 4-prong setting. Nice & simple. Although I understand that salt water can turn white gold to yellow.... It was about .7 carat I believe?

Making note of the ring design and measurements in case this isn't the right one and yours is found some day.

Thanks

Did I miss something? How do you know the description of the ring?

She unwisely posted it on this thread for everyone on the internet to see and potentially claim if it's not the one that was recently found but is subsequently found by another honest diver. Look up.

Thanks dude. As it was lost 16 years ago, I hold little hope it is in fact mine. But there is a chance and I do appreciate the effort to track us down. If it's not this one, there ain't gonna be a next time, I'm pretty sure.
