Bonaire Dive Op Recommendations

Hi there! Can anyone recommend and/or provide your experiences with either BelMar Apartments and diving versus Captain Don's diving and resort? Both seem to rate well in Scubadiving Mag, etc.

My buddy and I are going to Bonaire in Oct. 2008 for 8 nights, 6.5 days of diving, including boat dives, with of course unlimited shore dives. I have been to Bonaire before, my buddy has not. I stayed before at Plaza Resort, which was nice, but is a bit more expensive. Want to try somewhere different this time.

We've stayed at BelMar three times and have alwyas thoroughly enjoyed our stays there. Buddy dive is their on site dive shop, so it makes things super easy. I've never stayed at Captain Don's, so I can't compare, but if you decide on BelMar, I think you'll be very happy with your choice. If you have any specific questions, please let me know.

Didn't stay at Capt. Don's but used them for the dive op. No complaints at all. Did not do their boat dives, but everyone was very friendly and helpful. The check out portion was informative and painless and always had full tanks ready to go. I had a small issue with a reg, and they fixed it quick no charge. Gotta like customer service!

Stayed at Capt Don's 4 times and enjoyed the stay and the dive op. House reef is excellant!
