In the water,:D

I did say it was with a GENEROUSLY filled 80. Our host at the B&B was our guide.

When was this? I was there last month and I seen the mooring line... but it stopped about 20' from the surface underwater lol. We did it as a shore dive also but we swam back in against the current grabbing rocks to fight it lol.

We swam out with the current to the barrier reef, followed the reef south about 1/2 way across I assume to just past some cement blocks that used to be moorings. Turned around and did the exact opposite coming back. If you plan on doing this make sure you turn at no less than 1800 psi or you'll end up surfacing early when you begin to go against the current.

I was just in Bonaire this January, and I already want to go back!!

Diving: I love the shore diving in Bonaire. There is so much freedom and beautiful things to see that I too find no need for boat diving. My favorite shore sites are Red slave, Old blue, The Invisibles (make sure you go to the second reef), and Karpata. The Hilma Hooker is also a must (there is a cool air pocket in one of the crevices). Honestly, everything is beautiful so pull over and jump in!

Dining: Cactus Blue and It Rains Fishes are my favorites! MAKE SURE YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE FOR LARGE GROUPS!! Pasa Bon Pizza is great for carry out. Food is pricier in Bonaire. The cultamara grocery store in town is a great place to load up on sandwich meats, fruit, etc for the dive sites to save some cash. There is plenty of good Gouda cheese if you are a fan. I don't do resorts, but Buddy Dive has some good lunch specials. They also have a happy hour for cocktails. You don't need to stay at the resort to eat there.

if you are a meat eater---cactus blue---jerk platter for 2---unbelievable---my mouth is watering thinking about it----we liked that restaraunt best on the island--
