That is wonderful! We will arrive in Bocas on July 24 for a 2 week stay and were hoping to dive with you. There are 4 of us - all experienced divers. We are on a budget and this discount will really help! Happy anniversary, and is there a "secret word" we need to obtain the discount?

That post was from April, 2009 for our first year anniversary (look at the date of the post). We are not running the same special for our second year anniversary, but if you mention "Scubaboard" when you come in to the shop I will be glad to give you a discount on your diving.

Hi,

For those considering your shop who want to bring their own gear, what are your suggestions as far as dealing with the weight restrictions of the local airlines who use smaller planes? I checked Aeroperlas and they only allow each passenger 25lbs total. That's kind of light.

Thanks!

Both Air Panama and Aeroperlas limit baggage to 25 pounds plus a carryon. What I will frequently do when flying with overweight baggage on these airlines is put non-essentials on as cargo. Instead of there being a one dollar/pound surcharge for overweight baggage, baggage shipped "cargo" is only $.35/pound. In the large majority of instances the baggage checked through cargo come with you on the same flight. Occasionally it arrives on the next flight. The cargo desks are just adjacent to the passenger check-in desks.
