I wonder if the powers-that-be would take issue with my gear? I use a DA Aqua-Master and a horse collar BC. I have a banjo fitting and SPG for the DAAM and a low pressure port adapter to allow the attachment of a secondary reg and power inflator.

your good to go,as for your son a octo / second is a must, my pal has a conversion kit not sure the name on one of his hundreds of vintage regs on his DA Aqua Master and did dives all over in the Florida springs & boats NP,
just make sure to tell all novice divers you have no blown O-ring!:rofl3:
 
I have dived Alexander and other Florida springs with nothing more than a two hose regulator and tank and was never questioned. The only restriction I ran into at some was you had to have a buddy when you signed in at the gate.
