Just a quickie update for anyone planning a trip to Blue Lake, Utah.
We did 5 dives there this weekend as part of a Intro To Tech & Dry Suit courses.
Temp was a very comfortable 74 degrees in the water, 35 on land (with flurrries).
Vis was pretty bad, I'd say 1-2 ft max, often near zero on the bottom.. a lot of silt has been stirred up.
Still, fun to get out practice in doubles and get more familiar with dry suit diving. Nothing builds skills like poor(er) conditions (so I keep telling myself). Dove the White Fusion and its growing on me more and more every dive - nice suit! I will say that now that I'm diving dry I can't see going back.... sooo nice to get out and be... dry! Water was so warm, didn't wear a hood or gloves, just the dry suit with a set of medium weight thermals underneath.
Other than the seven of us there were two other groups of two who dove Fri/Sat.
