Sully told me what kind of juvie sea robin it is, but I can't remember. He's definitely a cute one.

I've started a project to trying to post common and scientific names with most of my underwater pics on my Flickr site, and in conjunction with that I've made myself a "Word" document that includes most everything that I've been able to figure out to date. Don't know that that would be of any interest to anyone else, but happy to share. Who knows, my errors could change the names of all kinds of things. I actually have seen some of that sort of thing take hold even here on ScubaBoard - dragonette for dragonet, gunard for gurnard, for example.

Also, there are lots of folks who know a *lot* more than I about what shows up at the bridge (many local divers, many of whom are very good photographers as well), but they don't tend to hang out on (or, at least participate on) ScubaBoard. But, I'm happy to share what knowledge (or speculation) that I have with anyone who is interested. I'm definitely a "hobbyist" and not a professional, and I have no delusions about ever winning any contests. As long as I can irritate folks like John by not culling my shots, I'm satisfied.

How's the viz been? Planning to dive BHB tomorrow, Thur & Fri. if that storm don't mess things up.

Actually the noaa forecast for the next couple of days is pretty fair. I've seen the bridge take three or four days to
clear up and I have also seen it go from 5 ft viz to 30 ft in one day so you just can't tell. With the forecast I would think
that conditions will get better before they get worse at least for the short term. If anyone dives wednesday please report.
Doing a charter tomorrow and probably try the bridge thursday.

Still killing overly. Oh, and that odd looking blue angel must be the now more grown up version that has shown up in this thread a couple of times in the past - with that same injury in the dorsal fin. I had seen him previously at the "sponge garden".

Finally getting around to post-processing the pics from my last trip. Here's a start.

Love the Harliquen bass. Razorfish.. green? pearly? green-pearly?

#10 with the pike blenny. Is that a bumblebee shrimp in the back? cool...

Well without confirmation I'm excited the strange blue lipped jawfish we found Sunday would appear to be based on an internet/REEF description photo from Mexico, a Mustache Jawfish.
Note the thin orange mustache down the side of his cheeks, and id dark spot bottom rear of eye! Unknown how common this rascal is here but even if I'm wrong (highly plausible) he was a way cool player without a burrow starting from scratch.....
the blue markings down his rear fins was intense and not notable on the id photo!
