On another note. It seems like the tide changed really fast today. We got in fairly early and had some pretty good current. By the time we got over to the bridge it was still moving pretty good. Under and on to the other side, finally slack high. Then it seems like only minutes later and the water is going the other way already.. and the current seemed to pick up pretty quick. Anybody else notice similar?

...which made for a nice cool drift back to the entry point...the temperature dropped too. Nice diving with you folks yesterday...

Jenny officially prevented a big guy in a new wing setup who was busy fiddling with his buoyancy from swimming right over a seahorse that was in the open...

thank you!

Ummm. Maybe I shoudve been clearer...the big guy was me...

This diver actually crushed me flat then flailed away seemingly oblivious.
More important Kevin can you see that frogfish in the background behind those shy velvet shrimp.
:D

I've had many times at the bridge when I've tried to wave groups over to have a look at what I'm shooting. They're nearly always in too big a hurry to get to "somewhere else" to be bothered with checking out my cool find. And, of the few who went to the trouble to stop and look, *none* stayed long enough to even figure out exactly what it was I was trying to show them, with a few rare exceptions.

Oh, yeah. *Now* I see them - *all* of them. Thanks.

Finally getting around to post-processing the pics from my last trip. Here's a start.

Well without confirmation I'm excited the strange blue lipped jawfish we found Sunday would appear to be based on an internet/REEF description photo from Mexico, a Mustache Jawfish.
Note the thin orange mustache down the side of his cheeks, and id dark spot bottom rear of eye! Unknown how common this rascal is here but even if I'm wrong (highly plausible) he was a way cool player without a burrow starting from scratch.....
the blue markings down his rear fins was intense and not notable on the id photo!

That is *so* cool! And, you actually got shamed into posting it! :D

Always something new!

You guys should be *ashamed* of yerselves for not getting up there more often. Who *knows* how many *other* cool critters have passed through the area without getting documented and shared with me??

Overkill.
