Dove Friday evening. We only had time for a 1 hr dive due to the sun setting. We saw a turtle, which was a first for me at the bridge. We didn't get to hit slack tide and when getting near the east bridge, I poked my finger in the sand to stabilize and slow down. I suddenly felt something move from under my finger... I look down and see a stargazer swimming away. Really? Of all the places to poke in the sand, I found a stargazer! lol. I followed it with my gopro under the bridge where it promptly buried itself again. That was cool!

A turtle, eh? Must of been lost. Hope it finds it's way...

It was a little guy. I need to stop screwing around and edit my video :)

Nice there today but felt a bit cool.

I'm not I've seen this mentioned. Capt Sl8r is hosting a boat night dive. I wish I could make it to this, but I can't. I'm not sure if he'll turn them on, but he's got under water lights synchronized to his audio system. Details are:

April 13th: Join us for a 6PM departure to the Blue Heron Bridge. Intercoastal Cruise / Cookout as we target a 8PM High Tide. ( Entry around 7:30 ) We will have 2 guides in the water as you experience the world famous Blue Heron Bridge at NIGHT!! After your Night Ninja experience is over we return home in style sipping root beer floats and dancing to the live mix of EMCEE SL8R. 1 AIR Tank and all the deliciousness is included! Great dive for first time night divers or experienced night ninjas!

From last night's night dive. Vis was good until the group (Jeff from Force E said between the two groups there were 40 divers!!) desended upon us. I got kicked in the head, arm, and leg all by different people passing.. and I was hunkered down in the algae!!!
Was hoping the rain storm would keep some away. The rain came then cleared out for us to gear up. Rain started just as we entered the water. Ripping current.

A first for me.. a lined flatworm

This guy was really big for a lancer dragonet. Very showey, but of course him raising his dorsal fin and my camera deciding to take a photo did not necessary align! LOl

What was the water temp this weekend?

Hmmm.. I got 75 on Saturday night, and 75° today. Seems the temps fluctuate wildly between 71-74° depending on when you look at the computer, time of day, location at the bridge, and weather...

Dive video from Friday.

Cool to see how much sponge has grown on the snorkel trail since I've been there. Cool stargazer footage. Haven't found the bridge's porcupine fish to be that cooperative for interaction. Neat.

I'm thinking that you didn't see the second flounder after his slow swim above the bottom. Might have been about to have a cool behavior opportunity. . .
