Wish, I could ... By my guesstimate, one of the last 'rock formations' toward the east span, about 3/4 of the beach over and straight out.
Was actually trying to shoot a couple of Harlequin Bass playing around, when I noticed it. Not small either, about 8-9" in length ...

That's a pretty good guess. We now know for collectors to check out the lionfish on the snorkel trail more towards the east.

This is from Friday, 2-7-14 I'm trying to decide if Lightroom is worth spending money on after taking a quick course yesterday. For this purpose, jpeg's online, email, or blog--Picasa works well.

I was over there on Fri as well, so ... Did you also notice that blur-effect in some spots? At first, I thought I was having a stroke or something:wink:

Re Lightroom, I'm have been using PS Elements 9(free with Windows 7). Great program, you can literally do 'virtual surgery' with that sucker!!
There's a thread 'Lightroom 5' in 'tips and techniques' by a guy named 'Sloss'. He posted several tutorial links, in case you wanna check that out.

Had a nice dive this afternoon with kmurray719. My computer was showing 75°F and the vis was around 10'. The low vis really made the fish come out to play on the snorkel trail, big schools of grunts, etc and even a school of big rainbow parrotfish.

Here are a few pics:

Yep, fresh wate;r especially after tide change--going back out. About the worst I've seen, over around the 1st pillar going west--if I got about 4 feet off the sand--awful, but a little deeper I could shoot pics that came out ok.

Those parrotfish made me have a Hitchcock movie moment the way they came out of the blue and started munching everything! Excellent dive today, thanks for coming out!

Excellent finds.

Wow. What a dive. So much for low vis.. maybe 8ft tops at the beginning, and I think it may have not gotten any worse through the dive. Didn't see any of the big guys, but with the low vis, was able to focus on the macro stuff. Lots of nudis. Saw at least 5 flabellinas and a couple other that I still need to research. Wow! A couple of them are firsts for me!
