Well then.. somebody wanna start plannning it?

Jenny, I think you volunteered. :) I am not willing to organize it, but I will definitely help!

hmmm. OK.. I guess..

Am planning on going up to the bridge today.. maybe see ya there?

Jet reported the viz at 10 ft and cloudy yesterday. On Wednesday, we saw a lot of Mullet digging up the bottom--enough that I thought they created the declining viz. Not only did they dig--they took a crap at every startling event and according to the mullet there were many startling events. It looked like a WW2 aerial bombing movie with mullet "flak" balls all over the place!!

It was fairly clear over south of the west bridge at 20-25 ft. before tidal change.

We are going today anyway and hope for better viz and less mullet flak!:cool2:

You forgot that I invited you! If you see this in time, you could catch a ride up with me (leaving by noon the latest) but I have to come right home after the dive.

I'm going for it regardless, I haven't been in the water since I bought the house last month! SEA ya up there.

Friday Fish Follies--VIZ improving

IMG_4248.jpgViz was improved yesterday to 15, maybe 20 at times--mullet are stirring up the bottom but we went east this time and a lot of the sand bottom is harder than on the west side so that helped! Jenny pointed out a tiny jelly right after we got in--then we saw a larger version out by the rocks. Probably got too close trying to shoot pics--the bell on this one is about 2-3 inches in length. The thing looked virulent to me!:cool2: And the tentacles are quite long--longer than pictured. No stings though!! Once again we interacted with Ma Nature without damage to ourselves!! We saw a few moons, some being consumed by fish. A very enjoyable dive--thanks Debby and Jenny!

nice shot!!! my camera couldn't focus on it and they all came out blurry..

Very enjoyable dive with ya'll. Let's do it again!

Mine wasn't real sharp either, but ok for an ID--it wasn't in my old edition of Reef Critters. Jeff mentioned one possible--I will send him the pic............Let's do go again--next week sometime!

Anybody else notice how many turtle egg shells there were yesterday? I first saw a few near the snorkel trail and that boat, but then saw them scattered throughout the whole area we dived except under the bridge..

And as far as the Thanksgiving dive/ meet n greet.. How about the weekend before? High tide is 11:45 am. Much more doable to get there early, get a dive in and then enjoy each others company the rest of the day. What say you?
