Had a nice 2 hour dive at BHB this morning. Quite a few people there for how early it was (of course there were 3 dive boats full of divers added to the mix) vis was down quite a bit. I'd say 10' on avg. I got 77°F, my buddy got 79°F.

Saw a weird filefish that looked like a dark brown leaf.

Took a few pics with my wife's DSLR, first time using this setup:

Lovely shell selection by the hermit. Fascinating filefish. Ross Robertson got all excited by a dotterel that I had photographed once at the bridge (which I hadn't realized wasn't a scrawled), so I've sent this link to him. He also scolded and lectured me about missing part of the tail in the shot. :D

One of my dive buddies also had her camera and she is a good photographer so probably got a better picture of the filefish, and actually come to find out after the dive they saw another one nearby. It was right at the beginning of the dive and probably the most unique thing we saw today.

Jim and I saw that dotteral the other day, thought it was a scrawled also.. Of course I didn't have my camera. Well, I did. But the batteries died right away.. :(

Today, I packed fresh batteries. Much better. Was blessed with a frogfish, a few seahorses, and a batfish.
Church of the Sea.. Angelfish to start my glory and praise on this beautiful Sunday morning.

I met Judy Townsend a little while back in the parking lot. I am trying to get a hold of her, if anybody knows how I can get in contact with her, please PM me.

Did the night dive last night and the morning dive today (still haven't managed to do both in one day though). Night dive was warm (81) and we had better than predicted vis (at least 15 ft). enjoyed watching a reef mantis shrimp, jawfish, common octopus (so say I as it came out of a bottle but my dive buddy insists that it HAD to be a Caribbean because we saw it at night, is this sensible?), sharptail eel, and the tube dwelling anemones. Saw a juvenile spotted scorpionfish too with lots of appendages "hopping" around, and thought I saw my first frogfish at first glance :(

This morning I saw fighting Florida fighting conch (aptly named), which I mistook for hermaphroditic reproduction until I looked them up and learned that they are dioecious, lol!

Are any of you froggie-spotters willing to let me follow you around sometime (under the bridge); I just can't find a frogfish, and miss most of the seahorses? I'm a benign school teacher, not a collector, willing to show ID
