MY BT got 2-3 inches of fresh water in the tail cone. The water was in there maybe an hour. It does not power up. They are having me ship it to Washington State for diagnosis and repair.

I don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling about the prognosis after reading this thread.

They will look at it and try to see if you'll pay for repairs. If you didn't do anything wrong, then challenge them. This worked for me, and they replaced the unit with a new one.

In all the DECADES I have had Silent Submersion DPVs, UV-26 and UV-18; I never had one drop of water in any of them.

too bad seacraft cost the price of a car !
 
Just placed a order for some replacement parts and the rep reached out very quickly following up with additional information and recommendations. Maybe it's doing better now
 
I shipped the tail cone/motor section today.
Florida to Washington state.
$117.00 and seven days for delivery via UPS.
