Black Rock tank rental

Yeah, there is space in the parking garage on the main road if you get there early enough. Then it's a straight walk to the beach, though not a short walk to the beach. We won't decide for sure what we're going to do until we get there, and it may just be much more convenient to rent from the Sheraton. It may just be easier to walk down the boardwalk to the Sheraton and not mess with driving and parking. Sometimes you just gotta pay a little for convenience, but if that happens, I'm renting that second tank to get the most out of the dive there!

Brandon, you're totally right that $23 is nothing compare to boat diving on Maui!

There is some free "beach access" parking in the SE corner of the Sheraton garage. You enter it via the main road rather than through the Sheraton. There is some more free beach access parking just behind Leilani's, but that's an even longer walk.

There's almost free parking in the Whaler's Village garage .... just stop in at the food court, buy a smoothy or a cup of coffee and get your parking stub validated. Maui Dive Shop might validate when you rent tanks.

The long hike through the Sheraton grounds is one reason I like the golf course entry. If you have a buddy you can just drop off all your gear right near the entry point. It's still a long hike back to the car, though, after you have drifted/swum around Black Rock and exited on the main beach side.
