What the heck are you talking about? Who said anything about washing hair after every dive?

you can always shave your head! just think of the advantages.....less shampoo, more streamlined above and below water, the 30sec fresh water is actually overkill, no need for hair products.

just think how cool it would be! :D

Society tends to frown on women with short hair, let alone a shaved head.

My husband agrees :D
Bu I do envy the short hair guys get to have. Makes those 30 sec showers a breeze.

I personaly have rather short hair, but try to keep it kind of "girlie". I will admit though I've had a bunch of guys tell me that I'll never land a "catch" (shall we say) if I don't let it grow out. I shrug and tell them that it's a PITA to keep up & if Mr. Right doesn't like the fact that I don't have long hair, then it's his loss.

I guess I'll find out what it's like personally, as I'm booked for a trip in Sept.

Just got off Blackbeard's Sea Explorer. I'm sitting at the Freeport Airport waiting for my flight out, delayed of course. Yes you only get 30 seconds, but so what. We just finished an awesome week of diving, 19 dives in 6 days. Your in the water 4 times a day. Between eating, diving, sleeping, getting ready for the next dive and just enjoying yourself who has time for more than a 30 second shower. It ain't no fashion show. Just put it in a pony tail and forget about it. If you can't do that, then maybe Blackbeard's isn't for you. This is my second trip this year (See my trip report from Jan in the Caribbean section). My buddies and I are already planning our trip for next year and we're not even out of the airport. IF you want to dive, dive, dive, this is the place. If you want private rooms, gourmet meals, and an on-board spa, then this is the wrong place to come. As for me, I'll be back.

I have been on all 4 Blackbeard's sail boats; Sea Explorer x1, Pirates Lady x1, and Morning Star x2. It really is like camping out on the water and your basic no frills bargain deal. I have also been on a Peter Hughes liveaboard which is on the order of Aggressor Fleet. I got more dives in on the P.H. liveaboard, 4-5 per day with better quality IMO than Blackbeards 3 dives per day....YMMV I guess you get what you pay for...Cat Pplau might be different but it is mainly for charter by groups.
