Hopefully the definition of a "Stroke" ? ? ? ? ?

A "stroke" is an unsafe diver.

A fanatical (but loud) minority of a certain techincal diving style calls anyone who doesn't use that style a stroke. A bunch of people who don't use that style decided to wear the insult as a badge of pride and call themselves "Strokes".

I tried to make the answer as anti-political as possible...

I have learned just cause I have been diving nearly 30 years w/o DAN that my luck just may run out. I now have DAN insurance. Thanks Tim Ingersoll.

Great places to eat in Coz that went unnoticed on other trips.

I have learned how lucky I am to live where blue water dive destinations are only a couple of hours away.

3. That I can cut the underwires out of all my bras and they still work! (Thanks whoever told me that, I can't find the thread anymore.)
Now that has to be a DIR solution!

After reading about Tims ordeal, I too got on the horn to DAN and signed up!

Interestingly enough, when I was told that I was a stroke or Stroke as it were, I had no clue what the term meant. I thought it was funny when I found out, and I still think the term is pretty funny.

Here is another view illustrated.

Originally it had the slogan "Doing It Correctly" Do the math and you will see why that was dropped.

Then there was "Evolutionary Gear Optimization"
Which made, "STROKE EGO"

I don't know if the shirts are still available but you can check on the IANTD web site. :D

Unless you are a commercial diver, then a day of Bad diving is a Good day of work. :eyebrow:

Well if that's true maybe they should have left it at DIC! With a handle like that you'd have to stay humble - and maybe not so many people would get the wrong idea! :D .
