your "local-friendly-neighbour-LDS-own-by-a-guy-struggling-to-earn-a-living-out-of-something-he-loved-to-do-but-can't-do-anymore-coz-he's-too-busy-operating-it".
That kind of person may not be good at running a business.

I've seen quite a few of those operations, and as someone who has owned retail stores for the last 10 years... I've seen a lot of small shops that are run by divers, and not business people. Some shops have a good business (retail) sense, and it shows.

As a retailer, I meet or beat anyone's price (even if I don't make my normal markup) even if it's an internet price, just to keep my walk-in customers happy... Becuase the value of a good customer is worth more than the immediate profit.

I've got the card for an additional 5% off. I also have several hats and a 6-pack cooler.

Yup. It's a double standard by Aqualung/Suunto, but that company is full of double standards. I lot of people are frustrated with that company.

Of course they don't make different models for different countries. they are universal. About the only thing different is changing from feet to meters and from bar to PSI in the measurements. But Aqualung doesn't honor their own products from different places.

Not even a difference in the units. You can set Suuntos to read in either Bar or psi, feet or meters.
