Yeah, folks seem to like the Mikron. Correct mouthpiece is still the most important item in "fit" considerations.

We just got Deep 6 regs. My wife is really liking their standard mouthpiece and she is also very petite. I also bought two other mouthpiece options, one of which is trimmable (how far back in the mouth it goes) and moldable. It's also her 'color'!! At the moment though she wants to dive with the one it came with. I did have a swivel installed as I believe that the 'tugging' contributes to jaw fatigue and the swivel will help alleviate this.

I Am a petite female. I own multiple regulators but it is my Mikrons I dive.

Why? Well it just feels like a better fit. Part of that might be that it was my first regulatory and so I am very comfortable with it.

Then too, because of the size and weight, it is great for travel. And we make 4 to 5 trips a year to dive.

Three, it is very well made and while I self service now repair is available worldwide.

Four, I use what is now often called the streamline recreational configuration with my backup regulator on a bungee necklace. The small size ofthe second stage absolutely does matter here.

As for Core vs Mikron, the Mikron has an adjustment knob for work of breathing while the Core has venturi. For me, the adjustment is worth an extra 40.

But if you are not in a hurry, I have seen reasonably good deals on ebay.

I have a Cressi MC9/Compact combo that works very well. The MC9 is extremely light (about half the weight of my Deep6 Signature and the compact 2nd stage is extremely small and light. It is also on the lower end of the cost spectrum.

I think Apeks Flight is more nice, than Micron... also it exist in PINK colour!

and it should be more lightweight
