My large Jets weigh 4.9 Lbs. What do the Large Slipstreams and Nova weigh?

OMS slipstreams are:
Weight 2 lbs., 7 oz. (size XL)

The SP Seawing Nova's:

weight. 4.9 lbs (size XL)

thats by paper, in real life the SP feel as light or lighter than the slipstreams, there is no way I'd believe the Nova's weigh anything near my XXL Jets.

OMS Slipstreams. I think they're the only OMS product I own. Great fins.

I also heard OMS discontinued them. Anybody know why?

Too heavy due to trim issues or travel weight limitations?

Both. Traveling with them is an enormous pain in the ass with my SS wing and I don't have enough luggage to separate them.

Being so heavy, they can be cumbersome in the water and difficult to raise my feet up into trim position and exit a boat.

I love the design and propulsion and sheer bulletproof-ness, but it can be improved upon.
