I love my JetFins, but they are just getting to be a little too heavy, so I would like to know a good alternative, a little lighter, good propulsion, preferably with spring straps attached, that follows the same styling as the JetFins

Exact Jet replicas would be the OMS Slipstreams. They are much lighter, but slightly stiffer.
IST propulsion rubber fins are also exact copies, but I'm not sure how they are in weight or stiffness. Probably the exact same weight as Jet fins if I had to guess.

You can look into other similar fins such as Aqualung Rocket fins, XS Scuba Turtle fins, Hollis F1, and HOG Tec fins.
Hollis F1's would have the lighter weight you're looking for. The rest are comparable in weight to the Jet fins.

another 'slipstreams are what you're looking for' vote.

If what you want is a nice, stiff paddle fin with spring straps, look into the Dive Rite EXPs. They're much lighter, have a slightly smaller foot pocket for a given size (and a longer blade) and I like them a lot. They're much lighter than Jets.

Yes! I love mine. Have not touched my Jets since I bought these 1 year and 100+ dives ago.

However if you want the Jet replicas, the Slips are the way.

How would you compare the EXPs against the Nova Gorillas?

IST rubber fins is the way to go.
They're slightly lighter than Hollis F1, smaller and stiffer.
And they're dirt cheap.

The only bad thing is their rubber strap. They don't look sturdy enough.

As mentioned, the OMS slipstreams. I've used the Nova's and although sceptical, they performed well and are super light. Although at their price point the slipstreams are my choice.
