I am going to have the yoke removed from my viking HD and need a new attatched hood. I am probably going to go with the surveyor but am curious if anyone tried the turbo or the magnum hood and what they think of them.

You might get a panic attack when you see the price tag for the Turbo & Magnum hoods, they MSRP at $360 for the Turbo & $310 for the Magnum. Add $75 for a factory install.
If you think that you may be diving a hat again, I'd recommend the ring system. You can add/detach a neck seal and/or latex hood by way of the giant rubber band/o-ring. (sort of like their gloves)
If you're diving a Desco, you should be able to make up a yoke to fit it very easily.
Yokes for the SL17 are a whole other beastie, it's a feat worthy of a Chinese gymnast to get into one of those critters.
Bob3, that sounds great. My current yoke is for a SL 17, I am ready to just have a normal hood on this suit. The file you want to send me sounds great, I am not to worried about price, but just want what will suit my needs the best, a great price would be nice though.
